Hélène Jin
PhD Student
With a strong interest for immunology, Hélène obtained her Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology (Inflammation and Inflammatory Diseases specialty) from Université Paris Cité.
She is finalizing her PhD entitled “Molecular mechanisms involved in immune tolerance associated with the progression of chronic lymphocytic leukemia” under the supervision of Dr. Nadine Varin-Blank. Her thesis focused on the expression of the enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) in leukemic B cells and its role in establishing a tolerogenic microenvironment in CLL. To conduct her research, she used several experimental approaches, including Western blot, flow cytometry, ELISA assays, and in vitro cell culture.
