Facilities & platforms
Modern biomedical research requires expensive equipment and techniques that are difficult to master and afford individually. SIMHEL has solved this problem by creating centralized technological facilities accessible to all scientists within the university. These facilities are operated by trained experts who assist researchers, and regular reviews ensure they maintain high standards of quality.
Our scientific strategy aims to strengthen the continuum between basic and translational research through the development of cutting-edge technologies. We have allocated human and financial resources to develop and maintain the innovative technologies needed for our translational research and to increase the visibility of our research environment. By obtaining funding for the purchase and maintenance of high-performance equipment and by taking responsibility for the platforms (TisCel 13/ FACS Symphony, Molecular Biology/NGS Illumina sequencer, L2 Laboratory and MAP /measurement of biomarkers), we increased our technological capacity and develop new protocols (simultaneous measurement of RNA and phosphoproteins using flow cytometry). These platforms are available to all members of the UFR-SMBH and the Avicenne Hospital via an online reservation system (https://reservation.smbh.univparis13.fr/Web/index.php?redirect=).
TisCel13 Platform
Histology and Cytometry
The TisCel13 platform offers and develops services that enable the visualization and analysis of the structure, dynamics, interactions, and functions of normal and pathological tissues and cell populations using a variety of methodological approaches. To this end, the TisCel13 platform brings together histology and flow cytometry resources under one roof.
