Nessrine Rabhi is a PhD student in Life and Health Sciences at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, followed by a Master’s degree in Biology and Health, with a specialization in Therapeutic Approaches and Biotechnology, at the same university.

Her doctoral project focuses on the role of the tumor microenvironment in the progression of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and in therapy resistance. More specifically, her work aims to understand how leukemic cells interact with their microenvironment to establish a tolerogenic niche that promotes their survival and expansion. Her research particularly investigates the bidirectional dialogue between CLL cells and macrophages, notably nurse-like cells (NLCs), as well as the mechanisms involved in their differentiation and their role in disease progression.

To address these questions, she uses a combination of approaches including flow cytometry, imaging flow cytometry, and imaging mass cytometry, in order to characterize cellular interactions and the mediators involved in the tumor microenvironment.
